2013 ADDY Ad Person of the Year

Beau Lane, E.B. Lane

Beau Lane is a second-generation Lane to oversee the operations of one of the largest agencies in the Southwest, with operations also in Denver.

In 2012, the agency proudly celebrated its 50th year in business.

A Phoenix native, Beau is committed to the vitality and growth of the community and has dedicated hours of personal service volunteering on the Boards of some of the city’s most influential organizations. He is a member of the Board of Phoenix Community Alliance and the Phoenix Country Club, and is an active member of Greater Phoenix Leadership and the World Presidents’ Organization.

He also has volunteered as a Board member for the international marketing organizations, Southwest Region of AAAA, and The Marketing and Advertising Global Network (MAGNET). Beau was recently named an Honorary Commander for the 309th Fighter Squadron at Luke Air Force Base, and last year, graduated from the Phoenix Citizen’s Police Academy.

A graduate of the University of Denver with a degree in mass communications and history, Beau possesses extensive experience in sales and marketing and supervises the daily operations and management activities of his firm. He has supervised highly successful advertising programs for numerous high profile clients including 2013 ADDY Award-winning campaigns for the Arizona Lottery.

As Agency of Record for the Arizona Super Bowl Host Committee, E.B. Lane, under Beau’s leadership, once again helped Arizona unanimously win the bid, bringing the world’s largest sporting event – along with its economic engine – back to the state of Arizona in 2015.

Other notable accounts include National Bank of Arizona, Xanterra Parks & Resorts, Phoenix Convention Center, Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery, Cable ONE, MDA, Arizona Cardinals and the Greater Phoenix Convention & Visitors Bureau.

The annual Ad Person of the Year award is a prestigious and highly recognized award for advertising in the Phoenix area. In 1974, the award was renamed the J. Terry Groener Ad Person of the Year award in recognition of the industry hero that left us far too soon. Ad 2 Phoenix adopted his name alongside the award in honor of his memory and contributions to the community.
