Collaborating with designers, external partners, and integrated team, the Sr. copy writer/editor writes engaging and compelling copy for an array of deliverables across channels aimed at prospects, customers, and B2B decision-makers. Provides concept-driven creative copy across all media channels including print, web, and broadcast. Works closely with the creative team, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure creative concepts, campaigns, and executions meet brand standards and business objectives.

A member of the Creative Services team, the Sr. Copywriter/Editor crafts copy to support all lines of business, promoting the company’s products and services to many different audiences including prospective consumers and business customers. This position serves as the primary writer and editor for the team, working directly with the business to communicate messages in engaging and meaningful ways. This professional develops content on a range of topics for all levels of internal and external audiences in the company, community, and state. The Sr. Writer/Editor works closely with the creative team, stakeholders, and project managers to ensure creative concepts, campaigns, and executions meet brand standards and business objectives.

  • Works with the creative team and external partners to develop compelling campaign themes and concepts, based on a deep understanding of objectives, strategies, and targets
  • Provides concept-driven creative copy across all media channels including print, web, and broadcast
  • Interacts with project teams (sales, marketing, product development, etc.) to understand business objectives and audiences to develop product and service naming and positioning
  • Collaborates with other content creators to ensure a consistent voice across campaigns and deliverables
  • Edits and organizes complicated content and business messages to optimize information delivery and flow
  • Works with business leaders and stakeholders to craft executive communications with minimal direction and compressed timelines
  • Proofreads materials and oversees QA/proofreading processes with internal and external resources

Required Work Experience

  • 5 years of professional writing experience in marketing, communications, or related field
  • Advertising agency or in house creative team. Experience developing direct to consumer print, broadcast, out of home, digital and direct marketing preferred

Required Education

  • Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, marketing, or related field of study

Preferred Work Experience


  • 2 years of experience writing for healthcare, health insurance, or financial services
  • 2 years of experience writing for consumer and business audiences
  • 2 years of experience writing all forms of digital marketing and advertising
  • 2 years of experience writing for agency and/or in-house creative team
  • 5 years of professional writing experience

Preferred Education

  • Master’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field of study

Required Job Skills

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
  • In-depth knowledge of advertising and branding principles
  • Superior writing and copy editing
  • Excellent attention to detail and proofreading skills with knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and AP style
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, while coordinating multiple projects within the assigned deadlines

  • Able to write for many different audiences, including consumer and business
