The Social Media & Content Strategist will develop and execute a content strategy for the brand, social media and website resulting in increased brand awareness, as well as consumer engagement and loyalty.  This individual is highly motivated and creative with experience and a true passion for connecting with current and future customers and ultimately creating brand loyalists.  Community leadership and participation (both online and offline) and the ability to effectively communicate the company’s brand in a positive, authentic way that attracts today’s modern, hyper-connected buyers are integral to the role’s success.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Develop a content marketing strategy that resonates with target audiences and positions DollarDays as the premier online destination to service non-profits
  • Manage social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day content activities including:
    • Develop and implement a social media marketing plan
    • Implement a content editorial calendar to manage content and plan specific, timely marketing campaigns
    • Create, curate, and manage all published content (images, video and written) to reach company’s targeted customers via social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, etc.) and brand website
    • Develop and expand community and/or influencer outreach efforts
    • Design, create and manage engaging promotions and social ad campaigns
    • Analyze campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising social media, content marketing, SEO and social advertising campaigns
  • Develop brand strategy, including the setting of style guides, brand guidelines, brand vision and value proposition for short as well as long term
  • Establish brand guidelines for messaging, tone, style, and quality to ensure campaigns are consistently meeting these established standards
  • Write and produce various types of content, including promotional collateral, emails, news releases, white papers, sales presentations, website landing pages, etc. that reinforces the brand’s story and creates synergy across all channels
  • Optimize online content, including landing pages, category pages and product detail pages for user experience and SEO
  • Ensure online campaigns and other digital marketing is fully aligned to the overall brand marketing strategy
  • Develop, track and measure KPIs and present to stakeholders throughout organization
  • Track industry and marketplace trends and innovation to ensure best practices
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 3-5 years of experience of direct experience managing content marketing, social channels, online video/audio, and email marketing programs
  • Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios
  • Strong project management leadership, exceptional communication, copy writing and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of the technical aspects of SEM/PPC (e.g., HTML, URL structures, keyword analysis, link-building strategies, blog optimization, content optimization, search engine crawlers, indexes, and algorithms)
  • Exhibits the ability to jump from the creative side of marketing to analytical side, able to demonstrate why their ideas are analytically sound
  • Maintains a working knowledge of principles of SEO including keyword research and Google Analytics, highly knowledgeable in the principles of “Search and Social”
  • Demonstrates winning Social Customer Service techniques such as empathy, patience, advocacy and conflict resolution
  • B2B e-commerce experience preferred and non-profit focus a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
