JOB SUMMARY

The SEM/SEO Manager oversees activities such as content strategy, link building and keyword strategy to increase rankings on all major search networks. You will also manage all SEM campaigns on Google, Yahoo and Bing in order to maximize ROI. In addition, the position has an opportunity to strategize and integrate the Facebook Ad Platform.

This position has no direct reports but is supported by and SEM specialist and coordinator.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Account optimization

  • Set up, manage and optimize PPC campaigns on Google AdWords & Bing/Yahoo
  • Set up, manage and optimize Facebook PPC tactics
  • Use Google Analytics and other tools to evaluate the effectiveness of search campaigns
  • Assists in keyword research for SEO of new websites and landing pages

Budget Management

  • Manages the budgets of multiple PPC accounts to maintain consistent spend and web traffic

Quality Assurance

  • Performs QA on tracking for PPC campaigns (conversion pixel management)
  • Work alongside the web developers to improve conversions and reduce bounce rates of PPC campaigns

Weekly/Monthly reporting

  • Monitors major search engines for trends related to PPC campaigns,
  • Collaboratively with other members the Media team, tracks, analyzes, generates recommendations, and prepares reports on performance initiative for PPC client campaigns
  • Provide recommendations for budget and display ad changes based on thorough analysis
  • Identify opportunities for additional website traffic

Knowledge Management

  • Stays up to date on the latest trends in search marketing – shares these trends with the team and is prepared to discuss in monthly SEM meetings

REQUIREMENTS

Education & Experience, Knowledge/Understanding

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) or equivalent; or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of two years PPC experience
  • Experience using Google AdWords (must be able to execute campaign)
  • Experience using Facebook Ad Platform (must be able to execute campaign)
  • Experience Using Microsoft Ad Center (must be able to execute campaign)
  • Working knowledge of conversion tracking
  • Working knowledge of SEO best practices

  • Effective verbal, written, and listening communication skills
  • Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in high-pressure situations
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demeanor
  • Proficient in the use of AdWords Editor
  • Understanding of e-commerce tracking
  • Understanding of site extensions and other SEM level tactics
  • Proficient in the use of a PC or Mac; in a Windows environment; in the use of the Internet; and in the use of MS Office Applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel and PowerPoint
  • Basic/Intermediate HTML skills

PREFERENCES
