POSITION OVERVIEW

The Marketing & Communications Director (MCD) leads the marketing and communications efforts for the IronOaks community. This includes providing support to the individual department heads (Golf, Food & Beverage, Events, Fitness, etc.) in developing and executing communications plans to help improve their business performance. Furthermore, the MCD is responsible for maintaining compliance with all communication requirements for the HOA, be they by state statute of the specific rules of the IronOaks CC&R’s. To be successful in the role of MCD, the candidate must be an effective speaker and writer, and also be comfortable multi-tasking and managing a steady load of long-term and short-term projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Works with department heads to provide marketing support, including product development, website updates, email campaigns, other promotional materials.
  • Recommends annual budget; monitors to assure that advertising revenues and expenses are within the established budget.
  • Oversees all communications and marketing efforts for IronOaks HOA.
  • Maintains approved internal and external mail and email lists.
  • Assists in developing market research studies and analyze their findings.
  • Maintains and improves community website.
  • Maintains and promotes the Association’s website content for usage for members and staff; oversees the accurate updating of the calendar events and e-mail blasts to members.
  • Confirms that established brand standards are met in each element of the community.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, English, Communications, Journalism or related field strongly preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a marketing coordination or management role, either on the agency or client side; agency experience preferred.
  • Multi-facility marketing experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Knowledge of marketing tools: CRM, Adobe Create Suite, email delivery, survey, social media, PR systems, etc.
  • Project management experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills (phone, interpersonal, written, verbal, etc.). • Self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and a team player.
  • Time management and time critical prioritization skills.
