Posting a Job Quick Steps

We know some of you don’t have a lot of time and just want the nitty-gritty, so here are the essential steps to posting a job.

NOTE: Our job board works best with Google Chrome.

Register Your Company

Company registration is necessary to log into your employer dashboard and see your applications. This is separate from your personal account on the site. Please note the email you sign-up with. This will be the email all account associated emails will go to including receipts and password resets.

Post Your Job and Check Out

Make sure you are logged in when you are posting, this connects the job listing to your account and allows you to review applicants as they apply. Also, please note the email attached to your employer account. That is where receipts and password resets are emailed to.

Check and Review Applications

Once your job is posted and you are receiving notifications of applications, log into your employer account with the email and password you signed up with. This will take you to the employer dashboard, click on applications. You are able to filter applications by job posting or status.

Register Your Company

  1. Hover over Employers in the top navigation menu.
  2. When the menu expands, click on registration.
  3. A new page will open leading you to the registration page.
  4. Fill in your information and hit submit.

NOTE: Companies that include descriptions and logo images are more likely to receive applications.

NOTE: Company logos should be 150x150px, 72 dpi, .jpg or .png

Posting a Job

  1. Make sure you are logged into your employer account.
  2. Hover over the Jobs link in the top menu navigation.
  3. When the menu expands, click on Post a Job.
  4. A window will open with the Post a Job form.
  5. The first page of the form prompts you to fill in the details of the job.
    1. Job Title – Please only list the name of the position you are trying to fill.
    2. Job Description – Here is where you can get crafty, creative and throw glitter.
    3. Job Type – Make sure to let your applicants know if this is a full-time, part-time, contract or internship.
    4. Category – Most applicants use our filters when looking for a position. Categorizing your post will allow applicants to easily find your listing.
    5. Company Information – This should automatically fill in for you if you are logged in. If you do not see it auto-filled, double check to make sure you’re logged in.
    6. Logo – The logo needs to be 150×150, 72dpi, .jpg or .png
    7. Location – Putting a full address of your company allows applicants to know where they can expect to go if they receive the job.
    8. Listing Type – Choose how long you would like your post listed and whether you would like it to be featured or not.
    9. Captcha – Just need to make sure you aren’t a robot.
    10. Preview – Click Preview to take you to the next part of the form.

  1. Here is where you will get a preview of what your job posting will look like to applicants.
  2. Please read over and double check spelling, grammar, and wording before posting. You can always edit your posting from your employer dashboard, though we know you want it to be perfect from the start.
  3. If there are mistakes, click the Edit Listing button. It will take you back so you can edit your listing.
  4. Once you’ve completed your edits and everything looks good, click the Publish Listing button.

Job Payment

  1. Here is where you will pay for the listing type you have selected.
  2. If you have a discount code, click on Click to Enter It.
  3. Enter your discount code and click Apply. If your code is valid, you will see the discount take effect on your total.
  4. Enter your card number. Receipts will be sent to the email on file with the employer account.
  5. A second option is to use Paypal. If you use Paypal to check out, please note you will need to download your receipt from them upon confirmation.
  6. Congratulations! You’ve successfully posted your job.

Managing Your Job Post

Reviewing Applications

  1. Log into your employer account.
  2. Once logged in, you will automatically be taken to your employer panel.
  3. If you are already logged in on another page, hover over Employer on the main navigation. When the menu expands, click on Employer Panel.
  4. Once one the Employer Panel page, click on Applications.

NOTE: You can sort applications by job or status.

Editing Your Job

  1. Log into your employer account.
  2. Once logged in, you will automatically be taken to your employer panel.
  3. If you are already logged in on another page, hover over Employer on the main navigation. When the menu expands, click on Employer Panel.
  4. Once one the Employer Panel page, click on Listings.
  5. When the listing page loads you will be able to see the listings you have on three tabs.
    1. Active – These are postings that are live on the site that people can apply to.
    2. Pending – These are job posts you have started but have not paid for. You can go in, finish editing and pay for to go live on our site.
    3. Expired – These are jobs you have paid for and that have been live on our site, but are no longer live. You are able to repost these jobs, you will just need to pay for another listing.
  6. On any tab that shows jobs your company has active, pending or expired there are a few options you have with each post.
    1. Mailbox Icon – If you click this you will be able to see the applications for your listing.
    2. View – This will give you a preview or live view (depending on the status) of what your posting looks like.
    3. Edit – This allows you to make updates to your listing.
    4. Delete – This will delete your job permanently. There is no coming back from this, use carefully.

Receipts

  1. If you use a card, the receipt will be prompted upon approval and mailed to the email on file.
  2. If you use PayPal, the receipt will be provided to you through Paypal. This will either be prompted after approval or emailed depending on whether you are logged in or not.
